WHAT TO DO WHEN A LOVED ONE PASSES:

If death happens at home:

1. Inform Hosanna of the death.

2. Arrange for certification of death. This can be done by your family doctor or hospice care doctor. Alternatively, Hosanna can arrange for a doctor to certify the death.

3. A Funeral Director will be assigned by Hosanna to discuss and go through all funeral matters with the family.

4. Hosanna can only claim the deceased after a doctor has certified the death.

If death happens in the hospital:

1. Pass the NRIC of the deceased to a nurse (a doctor will prepare the CCOD).

2. Inform Hosanna of the death, and we will assign a funeral director to assist you.

3. Hosanna can only claim the deceased once the CCOD is ready.

Items to prepare:

1. One full set of clothing for the deceased, including underwear, shoes etc.

2. NRIC of the deceased.

3. Your selected photo of the deceased.

KEY CONSIDERATIONS FOR FUNERAL PLANNING

Here are some key points to consider when planning the funeral of your loved one.

1. CHOOSING BURIAL OR CREMATION

In some cases, the deceased person had already shared their preference for burial or cremation while they were alive. If not, you or your family members must step up and weigh the options.

For burial, you will also need to choose a cemetery and purchase a burial plot. For cremation, you can choose to bury the ashes, scatter them, or store in an urn.

2. FUNERAL PROGRAM AND ORDER OF MEMORIAL SERVICE

In most cases, families and friends would like to remember their loved ones by organizing a funeral program. This is also their way of paying tribute. Roman Catholics and Christians sometimes require a church to hold the final mass.

To ease your burden, Hosanna Eternal Services can tailor a program specific to your needs, and ensure that it goes smoothly. Just leave the coordination to our team, so you can save precious time for other things that matter.

3. LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT

For families who need help with transport, we have available vehicles to ensure everyone is able to attend the burial, even if they don’t have their own cars.

WHY CHOOSE HOSANNA?

When choosing the right team for funeral planning, you must consider a few factors.

1. INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE

Funeral service is a tedious task and entails attention to detail. Apart from the usual casket and flower requirements, your funeral service provider must be knowledgeable about the documents and permits required. They must also be aware of the right processes for proper burial, cremation, and even securing a spot in the cemetery. This will help ensure a fast and easy process with minimal stress on you and your family.

2. WIDE NETWORK

Your chosen provider should have established credibility in the industry, and have access to a strong network. This will allow them to coordinate faster and more efficiently, leaving you without worries about the funeral service.

3. EXCELLENT SERVICE

It can be overwhelming for a grieving family to consider all the details of a funeral. Let Hosanna Eternal Services take on that burden for you.
